The Tampa Bay Lightning have signed Nick Perbix to a one-year, entry-level contract. It will begin during the 2022-23 season.Although Perbik's contract does not begin until next season, it is important to note that he will be beginning his professional career immediately. This is because he signed a tryout contract with the Syracuse Crunch for the remainder of this campaign.Perbix was selected by the Lightning with the 169th-overall pick of the 2017 NHL Entry Draft. The 23-year-old just completed his senior season with St. Cloud University and did marvelously. In 31 games, he had six goals to go along with 25 helpers. He also represented Team USA at the Winter Olympics, where he had an assist in four games.Although he will likely need to spend some time with the Crunch before becoming a full-time NHLer, he is somebody to watch very closely from here. Photo Credit: © George Walker IV-USA TODAY Sports...
