Unclear why Zibby is “day to day”, but I know he needs to be ready to go when they drop the puck for real. Hoping that more kids break camp with the club, so they can gain some real NHL experience. This season and the format adopted for it are a Godsend for the Rangers, this opportunity to get playoff type experience all season for as many kids as possible is unique and must be taken advantage of. Back to back and all games within a very tough division will make each game a fight (figuratively) and will go farther in preparing youngsters for the type of effort that will ensure their work ethic for years (successful years) to come. The NYR need to use this schedule to get the kids real playing time so they know what to expect.
Staying the course, the team is going to be better this season as the young players gain experience, and perhaps a real contender next year when hockey finally gets back to normal.
