Brown scores twice, Senators defeat Flames
- CALGARY -- Connor Brown scored two goals for the Ottawa Senators in a 4-2 win against the Calgary Flames at Scotiabank Saddledome on Monday.
- "I think we're a new team," Brown said.
- Elias Lindholm and Milan Lucic scored for the Flames (19-23-3), who have lost two straight after a three-game winning streak.
- "It comes down to executing when we're in position to finish and score some goals," Lucic said.
- He started the play by picking off Noah Hanifin's pass at the Senators blue line.
- We're making plays in all the right areas and we're not forcing things, nothing too dangerous at the far blue line.
- Lucic deflected Michael Stone's point shot to cut the lead to 3-2 at 10:47, but Brown scored into an empty net with 1:35 remaining for the 4-2 final after a Matthew Tkachuk turnover at the Calgary blue line.
