It does look like Danault sweeps Point's legs from under him, which in turn, is what led to this fine. Yet, the league felt it wasn't dangerous enough to warrant a suspension. We have seen other trips similar to this during the season. P.K. Subban has become infamous for them, but like with Danault, his slew foots were deemed as "dangerous trips," and he wasn't suspended, either. Players like Brad Marchand and Kevin Labanc, on the other hand, did receive suspensions this season when the NHL stated each of their similar plays was a slew foot.
