The Calgary Flames and forward Andrew Mangiapane have agreed on a three-year contract worth $5.8 million average annual value. A great contract for both sides as Mangiapane could be set up to have a huge season thanks to a couple of departures out of Calgary. The two sides had an arbitration hearing set for Aug.5, which of course has now been cancelled. Mangiapane was a restricted free agent and now the 26-year-old is set for a few seasons and will hit unrestricted free agency once the contract is up.Last season it was a career year for the top-six forward as he scored 35 goals and added 20 assists, playing in just under 16 minutes of ice time a night. He dressed in every game and showed with a bigger role on the team he may be capable of reaching new heights.Andrew Mangiapane, signed 3x$5.8M by CGY, is an extremely efficient two-way scoring winger who has consistently driven play at both ends and scored at a very high-end rate. #Flames pic.twitter.com/yXMnAd6zhQ— JFresh (@JFreshHockey) August 3, 2022 Mangiapane was originally a sixth round pick of the Flames back in 2015 and has developed nicely from his days with the Barrie Colts of the Ontario Hockey League. As for the Flames, they also avoided arbitration with defenseman Oliver Kylington and now sit with $2.7 million in cap space according to CapFriendly.com.Photo credit:  Sergei Belski-USA TODAY Sports...
