Bruins Rumors: 3 Defense Trade Targets Named
The Boston Bruins are in a bit of a skid, and one reason behind it has been their shaky defensive play. Because of this, they are expected to at least browse the trade market over the next few weeks leading up to the 2024 NHL Trade Deadline.Due to this, in a recent article for NESN, Gayle Troiani listed Noah Hanifin (Calgary Flames), Ilya Lyubushkin (Anaheim Ducks), and Sean Walker (Philadelphia Flyers) as three defensemen whom the Bruins could target.Out of this trio, Hanifin would, of course, be the biggest addition. It is not a secret that the Bruins have been connected to the Massachusetts native numerous times during his career, and they are one of the handful of teams linked to him now. He would be a massive addition to their group, as he would fit on their top pairing and work on both their special team units. Lyubushkin would be a good addition for the Bruins for the playoffs. This is because he plays a very heavy game and is steady defensively. He would be a good fit on their bottom pairing and could replace veteran Kevin Shattenkirk. As for Walker, he is having a strong season for the Flyers and has been generating plenty of interest because of it. He is quite dependable in his own zone but also can contribute a bit offensively in the process. Because of this, he's a player who would be a nice addition to Boston's bottom pairing.photo credit: © Bob DeChiara-USA TODAY Sports...
