Is a change coming in the Calgary Flames' net? The team has recalled two-time AHL Goaltender of the Year and reigning league MVP Dustin Wolf. Regular starter Jacob Markstrom has posted a 2-6-1 mark, with an .896 save percentage, but still maintains a 2.91 goals-against average. The Flames, with three NHL-caliber goalies, are one of the clubs that teams around the league looking for a netminder have been keeping an eye on.But Insider Elliotte Friedman isn't so sure, at this point, that this is a precursor to a trade:Believe this is more for injury protection purposes than a trade https://t.co/OWiS0US0Ai— Elliotte Friedman (@FriedgeHNIC) November 9, 2023Friedman suggests the move is more for "injury protection purposes." Markstrom missed practice on Wednesday for maintenance, so perhaps there's something to that. But with backup Dan Vladar looking shaky thus far with a 4.00 GAA and an .844 SV%, wouldn't the Flames' top prospect, Wolf, look better between the pipes?Wolf has been his usual dominant self down at the AHL, with a 5-1-0 record, a 2.34 goals-against average and .924 save percentage. The Flames will take all three goalies on their three-game Eastern road trip, beginning Friday in Toronto.Photo: Sergei Belski-USA TODAY Sports...
