Bridgeport shut out by Bruins, 1-0

The Bridgeport Islanders (7-2-1-0), American Hockey League affiliate of the New York Islanders, suffered a 1-0 loss to the Providence Bruins (8-1-1-1) on Sunday afternoon at Total Mortgage Arena. Bridgeport pressured Bruins netminder Brandon Bussi with 24 shots on goal, but the Long Island native stopped every one of them for his second professional shutout.
