Trade Swayman, McAvoy, Zadorov, Marchand, Brazeau, Carlo, Kastelic, Koepke and Peeke for draft picks spread out over the next 3 seasons. You end up with over 30 picks in the first 4 rounds and over $50 million in cap space that can be used to put a playoff team on the ice while at the same time rebuilding the minor league system. There are only 2 problems with my approach. First, Neely and Sweeney don't have the balls to do it. Second, even if they did, they would find a way to screw it up....
