Report: Hurricanes Working On Next Big Move With Taylor Hall
Last month, the Carolina Hurricanes acquired forward Taylor Hall from the Chicago Blackhawks. With the Hurricanes needing more secondary offensive production and skill, it was understandable that they brought in the 2010 first-overall pick. Now, the Hurricanes are working on their next move with Hall. According to Andy Strickland, the Hurricanes and Hall are having extension talks. In addition, Strickland reported that "there's a deal to be made" and that it's "looking like it'll get worked out."Sounds like Carolina and Taylor Hall are working towards a deal. Isn’t quite imminent but there’s a deal to be made and looking like it’ll get worked out.— Andy Strickland (@andystrickland) February 26, 2025 In his latest 32 Thoughts column, NHL insider Elliotte Friedman also reported the Hurricanes will be working to get Hall signed to a new contract.Since being traded to the Hurricanes, Hall has one goal, two points, and a plus-3 rating. This is after he started the year with nine goals and 24 points in 46 games with the Chicago Blackhawks before the trade. If the Hurricanes get Hall signed to a contract extension, he would continue to be a solid middle-six option with plenty of skill and experience. His next deal will also likely have a lower salary than his current $6 million AAV.We will need to wait and see if the Hurricanes can get Hall signed to a contract extension from here.photo credit: © James Guillory-Imagn Images...
