The Columbus Blue Jackets are staying busy, as they have signed defenseman Jake Christiansen to a two-year, $1.95 million contract extension. After appearing in just 44 games with the Blue Jackets over the last three seasons, he has played in all 45 of their contests this campaign. He also currently has one goal and has set new career highs with six assists and seven points.Overall, Christiansen is becoming a solid piece of the Blue Jackets' blueline, so it makes sense that they have decided to lock up the left-shot defenseman early.
