Seattle Kraken Sign Another Expansion Draft Pick
The Seattle Kraken have signed forward Kole Lind to a one-year, two-way contract. It will pay him $874,125 at the NHL level and $70,000 in the minors. With the Canucks this season, he received his first chance in the league. In seven games, he failed to record a point, but that will change. He also suited up in eight games with the Utica Comets, where he scored five goals and recorded 8 points. With Utica the season before, he scored 14 goals and had 44 points in 61 games. Therefore, he does have the ability to produce offense. It just has yet to translate to the NHL. The Canucks picked Lind in the second-round of the 2017 NHL Entry Draft. He is still just 22-years-old, so he has the potential to improve even more. With the Kraken not having the strongest forward depth, he may get a handful of chances at the NHL level next season.
