T-Birds dispel Phantoms, 3-1
A relatively quiet first period saw little in the way of action for Springfield starting netminder Charlie Lindgren, who blocked the five Phantoms shots he faced in the opening 20 minutes. Things were slightly busier for Phantom netminder Kirill Ustimenko, who fended off 10 Thunderbird attempts, including a handful on Springfield’s lone first-period power play. Springfield’s fourth line would get the scoring started at the 4:11 mark of the second period when Keean Washkurak stepped around Adam Clendening at the Phantoms line to start a 2-on-1 for Mathias Laferriere and Drew Callin. Lehigh Valley would not be able to get any closer to denting Lindgren, who was perfect in the third period on nine shots. He has now stopped 45 of 47 shots in his two victories against Lehigh Valley this season....
