Stars can clinch playoff berth, eliminate Golden Knights in 'huge' game
The Dallas Stars can clinch a berth in the Stanley Cup Playoffs on Tuesday, and they can do something that has never been done before: eliminate the Vegas Golden Knights from playoff contention. The Stars hold the second wild card into the playoffs from the Western Conference entering their game against the Golden Knights at American Airlines Center (8:30 ET; BSSWX, ATTSN-RM, ESPN+, NHL LIVE). Dallas leads Vegas by three points. If the Stars (44-30-5) win in regulation, they will clinch a playoff berth and the Golden Knights (42-31-6) will miss the postseason for the first time since joining the NHL as an expansion team in 2017-18.
