Boston Bruins Defenseman Undergoes Surgery
Boston Bruins defenseman Derek Forbort has had surgery on his right index finger and will be out for the next four to six weeks because of it.It had already been established that Forbort would be out week to week, but we now have more clarification as to why. It certainly is not the news that the Bruins and their fans were hoping for, as the 30-year-old has had a very good season. The shutdown defenseman has been the club's most reliable when it comes to defensive play, while also providing decent offense from the point. In 10 games on the year, he has a goal to go along with two assists.Nevertheless, we will have to wait and see if the Bruins can maintain this spectacular start to the 2022-23 season without Forbort around.
