The Toronto Maple Leafs have some preseason games left to play, however are looking forward to opening night. Head coach Sheldon Keefe updated the media regarding their goaltending situation, and Jack Campbell is expected to start opening night with Petr Mrazek taking the second half of the back to back.Maple Leafs kick off their season with a back-to-back. Jack Campbell and Petr Mrazek will split those starts.— luke fox (@lukefoxjukebox) September 28, 2021 Last season both goalies were solid, with Campbell taking over as the #1 in Toronto while Mrazek battled injuries but put up some serious numbers. Campbell finished the season appearing in 22 games, posting a 2.15 GAA and .921 save %. He's in a contract year in 2021-22 and will have to prove to general manager Kyle Dubas he's capable of a heavier work load. Campbell is expected to share the duties early on with Mrazek, however depending on who is playing better, could take over as the primary tender. As for Mrazek, he battled injuries in Carolina but did put up a 2.06 GAA and a .923 save %. Among the league leaders he went on to sign a three-year deal in Toronto for $3.8 million per season. If things go as planned for Mrazek this season, he could very well turn himself into 'the guy' in Toronto for many years to come. For now, the games will be split until someone struggles or one goalie takes over games on a regular basis. Have to give the Maple Leafs credit, they have two capable tenders making less than $5.5 million combined.Photo credit:  Eric Bolte-USA TODAY Sports...
