Blues' Torey Krug Could Miss Entire 2024-25 Season
In a stunning announcement, the St. Louis Blues have revealed that defenceman Torey Krug could miss the entire 2024–25 season due to a "pre-arthritic condition" in his ankle.News: #stlblues announce defenseman Torey Krug has been diagnosed with pre-arthritic issues in his ankle. At that point, if surgery is needed, the star blueliner will ultimately miss the entire coming season. The condition apparently stems from "cumulative changes" from a fractured bone in his ankle that Krug suffered earlier in his career.Krug, in fact, has suffered multiple injuries to his left ankle throughout his hockey career.The 33-year-old, in 77 games this past season, posted 39 points on four goals and 35 assists in 22 minutes of ice time per game, while also recording a career-high 111 blocked shots.He just completed his fourth season with the Blues, and still has three years left on a $6.5 million cap hit.
