Blue Jackets to Scratch Star Player vs. Flyers
There is more controversy out of Columbus, as the Blue Jackets are scratching Patrik Laine for their contest against the Philadelphia Flyers tonight (Nov. 19). Laine was benched during the Blue Jackets' recent contest against the Arizona Coyotes, but this healthy scratch against the Flyers is now a new low. The star winger has been struggling as of late, as he has failed to get on the scoresheet over his last four games. With that, he has played only roughly 12 minutes over his last two games. Clearly, Blue Jackets head coach Pascal Vincent is not liking what he is seeing from Laine right now, and this scratch shows that. Still, it is certainly shocking to see a player of Laine's ability being sat. We will now need to wait and see how Laine responds to this scratch once he is put back into game action from here.photo credit: © Tim Fuller-USA TODAY Sports...
