NHL Rumors: Maple Leafs Linked To Veteran Center
According to Jonas Siegel, the Toronto Maple Leafs could pursue Darren Helm if the 35-year-old doesn't re-sign with the Colorado Avalanche this summer.Siegel views Helm as a solid replacement in Toronto's bottom six for the recently-retired Jason Spezza. Helm certainly is another player with a ton of experience, as he is an 812-game veteran who just completed his 15th season in the NHL. With that, he also has a Stanley Cup on his resume.Helm is still proving to be a solid defensive forward at the NHL level, so he could be someone that the Leafs consider this offseason. Keep in mind, he did score the series-winning goal against the St. Louis Blues this postseason, too. Photo Credit: © Jeff Curry-USA TODAY Sports...
