Blackhawks Sign 6-Foot-6 Prospect Defenseman To Entry-Level Deal

The Chicago Blackhawks have made a move, as they have signed prospect defenseman Taige Harding to a two-year entry-level contract, which will start during the 2025-26 season. Following this, the 6-foot-6defenseman spent each of the last four seasons in the NCAA with Providence College. In 123 games with the school over that span, he recorded eight goals, 32 assists, 40 points, and a plus-20 rating.During this season with Providence College, Harding had two goals, 12 assists, 14 points, 46 penalty minutes, and a plus-9 rating. Overall, he had a pretty solid final collegiate season, and he is now ready to get his professional career started after signing this entry-level deal from here.Overall, there is no harm in the Blackhawks signing Harding to his new contract. While he may not be among their flashiest prospects, he has good upside and could blossom into an NHL-caliber defenseman as he continues to work on his game.
