Islanders Bring Forward Back
The New York Islanders have claimed Austin Czarnik off waivers from the Seattle Kraken. The Kraken originally claimed Czarnik off waivers from the Islanders earlier this season. Therefore, it isn't surprising at all that they are bringing him back. Due to this occurrence, he also doesn't require waivers to be sent down to the AHL, so the Islanders very well could opt to do that from here. Before joining the Kraken, Czarnik was quietly having a strong season with the Islanders. In 11 games, he had two goals and three assists. Overall, that was decent production from the extra forward, so the Islanders are probably happy to have him back. With that, he also had two helpers in six games with Seattle.Czarnik isn't the biggest of additions to the Islanders' roster, but he certainly isn't a bad one by any stretch of the imagination. The 29-year-old will now once again bring them more depth at the forward position. With New York also likely to be sellers at the deadline, he could also receive more playing time later once it passes. In 142 career games between the Boston Bruins, Calgary Flames, Islanders, and Kraken, Czarnik has 15 goals, 30 assists, and 45 points.Photo Credit: © Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports...
