Now, the veteran goaltender is heading back to the Red Wings, the club where he started his NHL career. Mrazek is signed until the end of the 2025-26 season and carries a $4.25 million cap hit. In 33 games this season, he has a 10-19-2 record, a .890 save percentage, and a 3.46 goals-against average. Smith, 35, will give the Red Wings another veteran forward for their bottom six. In 40 games this season, the 2009 fourth-round pick has nine goals and 16 points. Overall, he can provide solid depth offensive production and should be a nice rental for the Red Wings. As for Veleno, the Blackhawks have acquired a former first-round pick who could benefit from a change of scenery. In 56 games this season, he has five goals, 10 points, and 93 hits. He will also be more than a rental for the Blackhawks, as the 25-year-old has a $2.275 million cap hit until the end of next season.photo credit: © Stephen R. Sylvanie-Imagn Images...
