Canadiens Goaltender Placed On IR
The Montreal Canadiens have placed goaltender Andrew Hammond on IR due to a lower-body injury.Hammond was acquired by the Canadiens from the Minnesota Wild last month. He instantly made their roster and got his first taste of NHL action since the 2017-18 season. Yet, when watching how well he's played, it would be easy not to realize that. In four appearances with Montreal, he has a 3-0-0 record, 2.40 goals-against average, and .920 save percentage. Needless to say, he has been impressing a lot of people.Seeing the Hamburglar return to the NHL after so much time has been nice, but sadly, it now has to be put on pause due to his recent injury. It's hard not to feel bad for the 34-year-old, as he was off to an amazing start with Montreal and was giving the team more life.In response to this development, the Canadiens have called Cayden Primeau back up to the NHL squad. In 11 appearances with the team this season, he has a 1-7-1 record, 4.88 GAA, and .866 SV%.Photo Credit: © Sergei Belski-USA TODAY Sports...
