Nick Robertson recently expressed contentment with remaining a part of the Toronto Maple Leafs, stating, "I'm happy to be in Toronto," as he rejoined the team for training camp. This marks a big shift from earlier in the offseason, when reports surfaced that the 23-year-old forward had requested a trade and had no plans to re-sign. Despite those frustrations, including inconsistent playing time and a brief stint with the AHL's Toronto Marlies, Robertson ultimately agreed to a one-year, $875,000 contract in early September. While he declined to elaborate on his previous desire to leave, Robertson emphasized his excitement about the upcoming season, saying, "I signed in Toronto.
