NHL Trade Rumors: 3 Potential Offseason Additions for Flyers

The Philadelphia Flyers have some work to do this season to get to the next level, as their late-season collapse dropped them out of the playoff picture. With players like Travis Konecny and Joel Farabee finding themselves in trade rumors, it's time to take a look at who might be some incoming pieces Philly could look to acquire this offseason. Jonathan Bailey of Philly Hockey Now has proposed three viable targets for the Flyers that, he says, "make perfect sense."Martin NecasThe Carolina Hurricanes forward is one of the buzziest names on the rumor mill so far as we head into the offseason. As a restricted free agent, he's coming off his second consecutive 20+ goal season, lighting the lamp 24 times following a 28-goal campaign the year before. The former first-rounder (12th overall, 2017 NHL Draft), is just entering his prime at age 25, and the 6'1" speedster would be a great fit for the Flyers' timeline and needs. The Canes may have trouble keeping him with so many UFAs and RFAs to deal with. Tanner JeannotThe hard-hitting forward appears to be done in Tampa Bay after a down season. But many executives around the league remember the 2021-22 breakout of the physical, formerly undrafted forward. He popped 24 goals and 41 points that season with the Nashville Predators while dishing out 318 hits. At age 27, he's on the outer edge of the Flyers contention window, but he'd offer a skill-set that John Tortorella would love to have.Ondrej Kase He's been out of the NHL for two seasons due to health reasons, but as we reported recently, he's on the comeback trail back to North America after an excellent year in Czechia. He'd be a sneaky under-the-radar get as he's a former 20-goal scorer when healthy in the early stages of his NHL career, and when last seen full-time in the league, was a solid secondary scorer in the bottom-six for the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2021-22 with 14 goals. Photo: © Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports...
