Bruins Patrice Bergeron Wins Record-Breaking 5th Selke Trophy
It's plain and simple, ever since Patrice Bergeron of the Boston Bruins has entered the league, there's been nobody better when it comes to defensive forwards. The NHL announced the winner of the Selke trophy on Sunday as they work their way through the new awards set up, and Bergeron has taken home more hardware.Fun Fact: In the past 11 seasons, 1732 Selke ballots have been submitted. Calgary Flames center Elias Lindholm and Florida Panthers captain Aleksander Barkov were the other two finalists for the 2022 trophy. Bergeron is a pending unrestricted free agent who hasn't made it clear if he's returning next season to the NHL as he's recently stated it's Boston, and Boston only he's interested in playing for in 2022-23.
