The Winnipeg Jets are clearly in it to win it this season. Their incredible first half has them tied for top spot in the entire NHL, and with the trade deadline just over six weeks away, it’s a certainty that they’ll be out to bring in a reinforcement or two to help with the playoff run. According to Cap Friendly, the Jets should be able to take on over $5 million worth of salary by the March 8th deadline. Center has been noted as one spot they'd like to beef up,, and that explains the top two spots on this list of top five trade targets for the Winnipeg Jets, as posted by Murat Ates in The Athletic.1. Elias LindholmThe Calgary Flames centre is one of the top trade candidates for many teams around the NHL, and thus far has eight goals and 21 assists for 29 points in 44 games this season. He also works the power play and the penalty kill and would be an ideal add at both ends of the ice for the Jets.2. Sean MonahanThe Montréal Canadiens middle-six centre would be a similar type of add, though is somewhat of a downgrade in offence from Lindholm. As noted by Ates, the Jets actually own the Habs' second-round pick from a previous trade… Perhaps Montreal is interested in having that pick back in a deal here for Monahan.3. Chris TanevTanev is another one of those desirable Flames impending UFAs, and could improve any team’s top-four on the blueline. He does, however, have a 10-team no-trade list. His younger brother, Brandon played four seasons in Winnipeg at the beginning of his career.4. Adam HenriqueAnother productive center that could slide into the Jets' middle-six, Henrique has 11 goals and 13 assists for 24 points this season in 43 games for the Anaheim Ducks. Henrique also has a 10-team no-trade list.5. Sean WalkerThe Philadelphia Flyers defenceman is having a tremendous year and has been the subject of trade rumours all season. Although he professes to want to stay in Philly, the recent Flyers acquisition of Jamie Drysdale makes it even more likely that Walker could be on the move.Photo: Sergei Belski-USA TODAY Sports...
