1 week ago  /  NHL Trade Rumors

The 2025 NHL Trade Deadline saw several teams make moves, and the league looks far different now. Yet, now that the deadline has passed, we won’t see any more trades until after the season. Although this is the case, we still could see teams sign players to contract extensions. As a result, we here at NHLTR will be going over three contract extension candidates from each team.In this latest edition of the series, let's take a look at the Nashville Predators. Luke Evangelista Evangelista is a pending restricted free agent that the Predators will surely look to sign to a contract extension. The young forward has good upside and has become a key player on the Predators' roster because of it. In 68 games this season, the 2020 second-round pick had 10 goals, 22 assists, and 32 points. Andreas EnglundEnglund is a defenseman who the Predators could be open to keeping around beyond this season. The 29-year-old blueliner works well in a depth role, as he provides plenty of physicality and size on the blueline. In 35 games this season split between the Los Angeles Kings and Predators, he had one goal, three points, 48 penalty minutes, and 58 hits. Jakub Vrana Vrana could be a pending unrestricted free agent the Predators consider extending, too. The 29-year-old winger has had solid offensive seasons in the past and could be a low-risk player to keep around because of it. In 39 games this season split between the Washington Capitals and Predators, he had nine goals and 14 points. photo credit: © Steve Roberts-Imagn Images...
