The New York Rangers were a very good team last season and are going to be once again this season. This will come with a lot of good seasons by the players, but not everyone is going to be able to replicate their performances. That being said, these are three players who will regress in 2024-25 on the Rangers.Jonathan QuickThe last thing anyone expected from the Rangers last season was for Jonathan Quick to play as good as he did at age 38. He is nearing the end of his career and it will be difficult for him, even behind such a good team in the Rangers, to put up a .911 SV% again. The last time his SV% was that high was in the 2017-18 season. He should get over 20 starts again this season, but an 18-6-2 record is a lot to ask for.Artemi PanarinArtemi Panarin had an MVP type season and would’ve been a finalist for the Hart Trophy if it weren’t for some other incredible seasons. He put up 49 goals and 120 points. He topped his career high in goals by 17 and points by 24. It was the fourth time in his career he scored at least 30 goals in a season and just the first time he hit the century mark in points. To set career highs at 32 years old is tough to do and his totals should regress at least a bit this season.Chris KreiderChris Kreider has played some of his best hockey since turning 30 years old, but he can’t keep it up forever. Other than his career year in 2021-22 where he scored 52 goals and 77 points, Kreider put up his best numbers of his career with 39 goals and 75 points. He has only recorded over 55 points in a season twice, so reaching 75 again and pushing 40 goals while one year older will not likely happen.Photo credit: © Danny Wild-USA TODAY Sports...
