With all due respect to Charlie Coyle, this team is DYING because it doesn't have the talent to be successful at anything BUT simple hockey. Look at that pass by Merkulov. Sure it looked simple. But the offensive thought process...the hands to execute...I swear, that may be one of the so few truly gifted plays executed this season, I could count them all on one hand, and Merk's pass would still leave a finger or two. And you can guess which one.

Freddy was a first round pick. Honestly. And it took Merkulov's FIRST GAME to set him up for that pretty goal. His FIRST goal of the season. No doubt if Sweeney was capable of picking offensive talent, whatever player he WOULD have chosen wouldn't SHOCK you when you mention his draft position.

Simple hockey? Simple players, more like. How many goals/points you have there, Coyle. 3-1:4? Four points in 19 games? Do you really think this gives you the right to voice an opinion on what "works"?

Then there's Fake Bergy and Fake Zee. How's that going for you, Sweenz?...
