The Detroit Red Wings and New Jersey Devils have completed a trade... Wait, wasn't last Friday the deadline for deals? Well, yes, sort of. But per NHL by-laws, players can still be traded after the 'Trade Deadline'. However, those players cannot play in any regular season and/or playoff games with the acquiring team in the season in which they're acquired. In 215 career AHL contests in six seasons, the undrafted 6-foot Illinois native has 52 points, and a plus-38 rating between the Griffins, the Chicago Wolves (2023-24), and the Laval Rocket (2021-23). The Red Wings signed Dello to a one-year, two-way contract worth $775,000 this past summer.Before he turned pro, Dello played four seasons at the University of Notre Dame, garnering 40 points and a solid plus-19 rating, along with 133 penalty minutes in 154 games.Dello represented Team USA at the Hlinka Gretzky Cup as an 18-year-old, winning a bronze medal on a team with Brock Boeser and Tommy Novak.Photo: © David Kirouac-Imagn Images ...
