The Washington Capitals are reportedly targeting New York Islanders forward Brock Nelson as a potential trade deadline acquisition, according to Stefen Rosner of The Hockey News. Nelson, 33, is in the final year of a six-year, $36 million contract and set to become an unrestricted free agent this summer. Nelson has contributed 14 goals and 16 assists in 47 games this season, and his experience in 82 postseason games makes him an attractive option for playoff-bound teams.
