Islanders Gameday News: Welcoming our Philly Phriends
Oliver back? | Photo by Bruce Bennett/Getty Images
The Islanders can’t beat top teams so they should really collect more points against the Flyers. The Philadelphia Flyers are back — now they’ve gone 12 in a row without a win — and probably would like nothing more than to end their streak by avoiding getting beaten by the New York Islanders (who’ve finally caught them in the points standings) three times in nine days.
But even if that doesn’t work out, they can still celebrate Keith Yandle claiming the NHL Iron Man record, against some pretty improbable odds considering how they nearly healthy scratched him in his final season in Florida.

Random Toronto windbags wonder why we can’t stand the Leafs Ecosystem (it’s not just the team, it’s their media, fanabse, their obliviousness to the outside world), and then all national outlets lead with deep analysis about why the Leafs coach is mixing up his lines. [Sportsnet]
