In 38 regular season games for the Panthers on the year, he had one goal, three points, 70 hits, and a minus-9 rating. He also played in 16 playoff games for the Panthers, where he had two goals, one assist, and a minus-1 rating.With this PTO addition, the Maple Leafs have brought in another potential option for their forward depth. Due to his ability to play both down the middle and on the wing, Lorentz could be a decent fourth-line forward or 13th forward for the Maple Leafs if he successfully earns a contract from this PTO. In 230 career NHL games split between the Carolina Hurricanes, San Jose Sharks, and Panthers, Lorentz has 21 goals, 22 assists, 43 points, and 317 hits.
