According to NHL insider Elliotte Friedman, the Nashville Predators are trading forward Cody Glass to the Pittsburgh Penguins. And now hearing Cody Glass being traded from Nashville to Pittsburgh— Elliotte Friedman (@FriedgeHNIC) August 13, 2024 Glass, 25, appeared in 41 games this past season with the Predators, where he had six goals to go along with 13 points and a minus-9 rating. Overall, it was a down year for the Winnipeg, Manitoba native, as he set career highs with the Predators just back in 2022-23, posting 14 goals, 21 assists, and 35 points. The expectation was that he would take another step forward in his development last season, but that did not occur. Now, he is heading to the Penguins and will look to get things back on track because of it. Glass is a former top prospect, as he was selected by the Vegas Golden Knights with the sixth overall pick of the 2017 NHL Entry Draft. At this juncture of his career, he is still looking to become a high-impact player, and now his goal with the Penguins will be to take another step forward because of it.It is no secret that the Penguins are an older team who could use young forwards with upside, so it is understandable that they are taking a chance on Glass. It will be intriguing to see if he can find a fit in the Penguins' bottom six next season from here.photo credit:  © Andrew Wevers-USA TODAY Sports...
