Canadiens' Rafael Harvey-Pinard Out Long-Term After Surgery
The Montreal Canadiens announced that forward Rafael Harvey-Pinard underwent successful surgery on Thursday to repair a broken leg. They also noted that Harvey-Pinard's expected recovery time is four months.With this development, Harvey-Pinard will likely return to the Canadiens' lineup around American Thanksgiving. Earlier this week, Mathieu Paradis of Tout Sur Le Hockey reported that Harvey-Pinard suffered a lower-body injury during his offseason training and could miss a good chunk of time because of it. Now, we have gotten confirmation from the Canadiens about Harvey-Pinard's injury, and it is certainly tough to hear. Harvey-Pinard dealt with serious injury trouble last season. He suffered a lower-body injury early in the Canadiens' campaign and then injured his right leg, which sidelined him for several weeks. Things have simply not gone well for the 25-year-old. Harvey-Pinard appeared in 45 games this past season with the Canadiens, where he posted two goals to go along with 10 points and a minus-2 rating.
