Canucks' Quinn Hughes on Miller/Pettersson Feud: 'A Lot of Noise'

1 day ago  /  NHL Trade Rumors

The Vancouver Canucks are looking to turn the page, moving disgruntled forward J.T Miller to the New York Rangers. For Canucks' captain Quinn Hughes, it's going to be nice to have less drama around the team, as Hughes admitted of late, there's been way too much noise surrounding their dressing room.Quinn met with the media after Miller was moved by GM Patrik Allvin, and opened up about how the team plans to move on from a drama-filled first half of the season. "Not only myself but everyone in the organization. There's just been a lot of noise," Hughes said following Vancouver's 5-3 loss to the Dallas Stars on Friday. "For (Miller), too. It's been a lot on him. I think he's looking forward to a fresh start, but we're obviously going to miss him here."The Canucks haven't been shy about the feud, as president Jim Rutherford recently confirmed in an interview that the two players weren't getting along, and it was effecting the entire dressing room. Elias Pettersson spoke after the game as well, and mentioned ''all we can do now is look forward, I wish him the best."There's been a ton of speculation brewing stating that if the Canucks don't figure this out, and hit the reset button, getting back on track, that Hughes may not want to stick around long term in Vancouver. The dynamic defenceman is under contract through the 2026-27 season, carrying a cap hit of $7.85 million. Here's more from both players after Friday's after:"A lot of noise the last couple weeks and months, but to see him go, he's a heck of a hockey player and I enjoyed playing with him for the six years that I had."Quinn Hughes joins @sportsnetmurph and discusses J.T.
