Ian Cole interview with NHL concludes without any announcement
Tampa Bay Lightning defenceman Ian Cole (28) has been suspended indefinitely while the NHL investigates allegations of sexual assault and grooming made against him in a Twitter post. Cole was suspended by the Lightning on Sunday night, days after a social media post accused him of sexual assault and grooming. He did not play in the team’s 3-1 season-opening loss to the New York Rangers on Tuesday. The team indicated Cole would remain suspended “pending the results of an investigation.” One of the challenges to be navigated is how long that can be without further evidence beyond the one Twitter post....
