In Smith's absence, netminder has been called up from AHL Bakersfield to back up Mikko Koskinen for Monday's Battle of Alberta. Smith, 39, allowed four goals on 28 shots against the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday night, and has posted save percentage in 15 games played this season.
