It is understandable that the Predators have decided to keep Englund around at a cheap price. The 6-foot-4 defenseman works well in a depth role and provides plenty of size and toughness to the Predators' blueline. Thus, there is no real harm in him staying put for next season.Englund was claimed off waivers by the Predators from the Los Angeles Kings back in February. Following this, he appeared in 24 games with the Predators, where he had two assists, 33 blocks, 58 hits, and a minus-8 rating. This is after he played in 11 games for the Kings this campaign, posting one goal and 20 hits. Englund was selected by the Ottawa Senators with the 40th overall pick of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. In 197 career NHL games split between the Senators, Colorado Avalanche, Chicago Blackhawks, Kings, and Predators, he has two goals, 18 assists, 20 points, 188 penalty minutes, and 484 hits.photo credit: © Steve Roberts-Imagn Images...
