Hurricanes Goalie Provides Update On Injury
While speaking with reporters, Carolina Hurricanes goaltender Antti Raanta provided an update on the injury he sustained during the team's Game 7 loss to the New York Rangers. The 33-year-old has an MCL sprain but is expected to be ready to go for the start of the 2022-23 season.Seeing Raanta's season end in such a manner was simply devastating. The veteran netminder put together a very strong postseason in relief for Frederik Andersen. In 13 postseason games, he had a 6-5-0 record, 2.26 GAA, and .922 SV%. That's excellent work from a backup goaltender.Alas, here's to hoping that Raanta can carry over that kind of play next season.
