San Jose Sharks Rumors: Veteran Forward Linked to NY Rangers

The New York Rangers have already made multiple moves this month, but they are not done just yet. They are still looking for an upgrade at the fourth-line center position, and San Jose Sharks veteran forward Nick Bonino is on their radar because of it. Bonino certainly could work well as the team's 4C, as he is still an effective two-way center. With that, his effective defensive play would give the Rangers another candidate to kill penalties if they end up landing him. Offensively, he can provide some offense in a bottom-six role, as he has nine goals to go along with 18 points in 54 games this campaign. Bonino carries a $2.05 million cap hit, but it is quite likely that the Sharks will be open to retaining half of it in any trade centering around the veteran. In this scenario, it would surely be worth it for the Rangers to consider bringing him in. He also has two Stanley Cups on his resume, so that would just be an added bonus for New York. photo credit: © Stan Szeto-USA TODAY Sports...
