2 Vegas Golden Knights Who Could be Traded This Summer
The Vegas Golden Knights are feeling the heartbreak of defeat as once again the team came up short in their run for the Stanley Cup. While what they've been able to accomplish in the franchise's short history is second to none, there's going to be a few changes this offseason. The team has limited cap space and will need to move out some money.2 Golden Knights Who Could be Dealt This SummerMarc-Andre Fleury: The goalie tandem in Vegas is as good as any, but with Fleury only having one season left on his contract, the team could move him for a legit top-two line center. The Golden Knights have Robin Lehner signed for four more seasons and he is seven years younger than the Flower, so you know he's the goaltender of the future. There would be a ton of interest in Fleury who's still one of the best netminders in the league. One wild deal that was speculated was sending him to the Washington Capitals for Evgeny Kuznetsov, but considering Kuznetsov's track record, the Vegas strip might be the last place he needs to be. The Carolina Hurricanes, Philadelphia Flyers and Nashville Predators would also have a ton of interest. Flower holds no-trade protection and submits a list of 10 teams he'll want to avoid. Brayden McNabb: If the Golden Knights want to keep Alec Martinez around, it may have to come at the expense of McNabb who is signed for one more season. Any deal for a top-four defender who has one season left on his contract has been a decent return, so Vegas could expect a reasonable draft pick and prospect in the package. Getting McNabb's $2.5 million off the books would be the biggest thing here as they hope to sign Martinez to a three-year deal. Considering what they gave up to acquire him and Martinez' production this season with 32 points in 53 games, unfortunately it appears McNabb is going to be shown the door.As of right now the Golden Knights only have just over $6 million in cap space. With another year of playoff disappointment under their belt, expect management to make a couple of bold moves and these two could be included. Get ready for the busiest offseason in NHL history and Vegas is going to be right in the middle of it all.Photo credit: POOL PHOTOS-USA TODAY Sports...
