Philadelphia Flyers Make Shocking Healthy Scratch

1 year ago  /  NHL Trade Rumors

After recording a 51-point campaign in 64 games last season with the Carolina Hurricanes, Tony DeAngelo earned himself a hefty two-year, $10 million contract with the Philadelphia Flyers immediately after being dealt there. Now, just a few months after inking that deal, DeAngelo is set to be a healthy scratch for Friday's contest against the Vegas Golden Knights. Top prospect Cam York will be taking his place.Truthfully, this is a shocking decision by the Flyers. Before the announcement of this healthy scratch, DeAngelo was on a four-game point streak. In 26 games on the year, he has four goals and 14 points, but he also has a notable minus-13. Nevertheless, we will have to wait and see if this decision ends up benefitting the Flyers when they take on the red-hot Golden Knights. Photo Credit: © Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports...
