Seth Jones wants off the Chicago Blackhawks and after last night's postgame comments in the media, a deal is just around the corner.According to The Athletic's Pierre LeBrun, Jones prefers a trade to the Dallas Stars. Jones hasn't been shy about wanting out as he admitted to the media recently he approached Blackhawks' GM Kyle Davidson about a move. The 30-year-old Jones is a Dallas native and would like to go home as Dallas is at the top of the list of contenders he's willing to play for. There's also been rumblings about a return to Columbus, or a move to the Edmonton Oilers. Jones has a full no-movement clause and carries a $9.5 million AAV through 2028. "We're the exact same team right now as we were game one," Jones said after Tuesday's loss to Utah, per Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times. "It's pretty evident out there. We haven't made any strides to be a better, more simple hockey team, and it shows. We don't get a lot of wins because of that. This has been almost four years of bottom of the league, so it's not just this year - for me at least."While he may be on the 'wrong' side of 30, Jones can still get it done, and has been playing heavy minutes on the struggling Blackhawks. He's appeared in 41 games this season, recording 27 points, while playing 24:31 per game. The Stars are in the market for a defenseman, it's all going to come down to how much salary Davidson is willing to retain. Dallas will have to shed about $5 million in order to get Jones under the cap, but that doesn't mean the savvy Jim Nill can't grant Jones' wish.Photo credit:  Jamie Sabau-Imagn Images...
