Sharks Need to Get Out of Their Own Way

On Sunday (Dec. 4), the San Jose Sharks finished a four-game road trip with three consecutive losses. In both games, the Sharks committed more giveaways than their opponent. They are the third-least penalized team in the league, and the league’s best penalty kill backs the penalties they do commit. The league’s best penalty kill finally struggled, allowing multiple power-play goals in back-to-back games after not doing so in any game prior.
