According to reports, the Montreal Canadiens are looking for "clear upgrades" to their blueline, and three veteran members of a crowded forward corps have been named as trade candidates. Rg.org reported that the Habs aren't looking for any "lateral" moves, and have their sights set on a top-four upgrade on defense. The Canadiens have reportedly informed their colleagues that they’re not looking for lateral deals and will be looking to make clear upgrades at positions of need.Marco D'Amico writes that the team has "set a goal of shoring up the play in their (own) zone". To that end, the insiders at The Fourth Period have suggested three forwards who could be dealt in the near future:Christian DvorakEntering the final year of a six-year, $4.45 million AAV contract, the 28-year-old may not fit with the next phase of a Canadiens' contention window, and he hasn't lived up to that pact, per TFP. He's only gotten into 150 games over three seasons in Montreal, and has totaled 70 points.Joel ArmiaHis name has been on the rumor mill for a while now, and while he's filled his role well in Montreal, the 29-year-old is entering the final year of his four-year contract, and he would be occupying a spot that could go to one of the younger up-and-comers. Josh AndersonAt $5.5 million for another four years, Anderson has far underperformed his contract, and registered just 9 goals in 78 games last season. The Habs would love to move on from the 30-year-old, though they'd certainly be selling low.Photo: © Eric Bolte-Imagn Images...
