The NHL's trade deadline is 3pm on Friday, and so far, no team has been able to meeting the high demands of Philadelphia Flyers GM Daniel Briere. Teams continue to call and make offers for third-line centre Scott Laughton, but to this point, rival GM's haven't been willing to meet the ask of at least a first-round pick.Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reports: Philadelphia. The Flyers made it very clear that a first-rounder (or a prospect of similar value) is required to remove Laughton from their premises.Laughton, 30, has one more year on his contract at $3 million, and does not have any trade protection on his contract. He's reportedly made it clear he'd be open to joining the Toronto Maple Leafs, as the Oakville, ON native is very close to several members of their team including John Tavares. The Winnipeg Jets continue to have interest, and the same can be said about the Washington Capitals, Florida Panthers, Vegas Golden Knights, and Ottawa Senators. Laughton has recorded 27 points in 60 games this season, averaging 15:06 of ice-time, including on both sides of special teams. His work ethic and style of play is perfectly suited for the Stanley Cup Playoffs, and he brings a ton of character to any dressing room he enters.pic.twitter.com/Rtl3a1T8kG— Scott Laughton (@Laughts21) March 1, 2025Laughton poked fun at all the trade rumors last week with a 'Last Supper' style photo with members of the team and training staff. This is not the first time he's heard his name mentioned in trade talks, but this could finally be the year he's moved before the trade deadline.Photo credit: Kyle Ross-Imagn Images  ...
