Former New York Rangers left wing Sean Avery (16) is attempting a comeback with the ECHL's Orlando Solar Bears. Former NHLer Sean Avery is attempting a pro hockey comeback 10 years after his final season. Avery 41, has signed a contract with the ECHL's Orlando Solar Bears – an affiliate of the Tampa Bay Lightning. In a statement, the Solar Bears say Avery will begin on the team's reserve list.
