A Ton Of NHL Players Are On Waivers Again
With the NHL regular season about to start, it's not surprising to see a bunch of players on waivers again. It would not be surprising to see a few of them claimed.Full list of Waivers (10/10/21)Definitely some interesting choices to chose from for teams. The #LetsGoBuffalo have the first claim in the order. pic.twitter.com/kN77reDxEu— Hockey Hound (@HockeyHoundShow) October 10, 2021 Travis Hamonic of the Vancouver Canucks is very interesting. The veteran defenseman failed to report to camp due to personal reasons after signing a two-year, $6 million contract this summer. It seems unlikely a team would claim him with everything occurring, but it's still something nobody would have predicted a few months ago. Adam Brooks of the Toronto Maple Leafs is a very surprising name to see on this list. The 25-year-old center scored four goals and had an assist in 11 games with the Leafs last season. Many envisioned him making the team for the regular season. It seems very likely another team will give him a shot and claim him. Veteran forward Kyle Turris also has been put on waivers. In 27 games last season with the Edmonton Oilers, he had just two goals and three assists. It was a major drop in production for the 32-year-old center. He had 31 points in 62 games with the Nashville Predators just the season before. Like we stated earlier, it's shocking that the Lightning have decided to put Alex Barre-Boulet on waivers. He has the tools to become a solid scorer in this league and should receive consideration from other NHL teams. Some other notable players include Jacob Larsson, Josh Leivo, Gabriel Carlsson, Kevin Stenlund, Taro Hirose and Austin Wagner.Photo Credit: ...
